Moots and Shimano have partnered for the second consecutive year to bring a fleet of hand built titanium cyclocross bikes to be used for neutral support during the 2012 Shimano New England Professional Cyclocross Series (NEPCX), the 2013 U.S. National Cyclo-Cross Championships, and the 2013 U.S. UCI World Cyclo Cross Championships.
Five new 2012 Moots Psychlo X bikes featuring Shimano Di2 Ultegra and disc brakes will join the existing Shimano neutral support fleet in time for the Cycle-Smart International in Northampton, MA, November 3-4, and the NBX Gran Prix of Cyclocross in Warwick, RI, December 1-2.
“With the introduction of the additional Moots Psychlo X bikes to the fleet, neutral support has now risen to a new level,” said Jon Cariveau, Moots marketing manager, and 2012 & 2011 U.S. National Masters Cyclocross Silver Medalist. “Moots and Shimano have brought performance, durability and precision to the pit area.”
Five Moots Psychlo X frames, outfitted with Shimano Ultegra and cantilever brakes, made their debut last fall at the 2011 Shimano NEPCX Series and have been on hand in the neutral support area during first two races this fall in the 2012 NEPCX series.
“In choosing Moots, it attests to the quality standards we uphold at Shimano. Moots’ reputation for a quality product and their passion for the sport of cyclocross made them the logical choice for our fleet,” remarked Dustin Brady, Marketing Manager for Shimano American Corporation. “We’re excited to be partnered with Moots and are looking forward to a great cross season.”
Additionally, the Shimano neutral support fleet will available at the 2013 U.S. National Cyclo-Cross Championships in Madison, WI January 1-9 as 2013 U.S. UCI World Cyclo-Cross Championships in Louisville, KY February 2-3.
