Gianni Meersman has signed with the Lotto-Belisol for next two years. The 25-year-old was initially set to ride for the RadioShack-Nissan team but thought twice after the merger of the American team of Johan Bruyneel with Leopard Trek. At Lotto-Belisol, Meersman will rejoin FDJ teammate Jelle Vanendert. Meersman nor the team have yet commented on the signing, but Meersman participated in several days of team building sessions in the Ardennes and is scheduled to join the team in Majacar on December 6th for the team's first training camp.
