Frenchman Samuel Dumoulin (Cofidis) won the Grand Prix La Marseillaise in a sprint on Sunday. The Grand Prix La Marseillaise is the traditional opening of the European cycling calendar. He took victory in the race, which is held over a 148.1 km circuit around the French port city, ahead of Italian Marco Marcato (Vacansoleil) and the Frenchman Arthur Vichot (FDJ-BigMat). The Frenchman Jérémie Galland (Saur Sojasun) and Italian Davide Malacarne (Team Europcar) completed the top five.
