Instead of foam trying to protect you from a hard saddle, the Kurve uses only a slim foam covering and relies on the shell itself to give you the comfort. The shell is made of three composite layers that move with you. It’s the kind of movement Fizik already knows well, with their Twinflex and Wingflex features.
That in its self would not be enough. Fizik created a new rail system, aluminum and designed it as one continuous loop. The preload on that loop can be adjusted to tune the firmness of the shell. By swapping out a nose-piece, easily accomplished with an allen wrench, hard or soft options can be chosen.
This increased comfort comes in the shapes we have come to expect from Fizik, the Bull for less flexible riders, the Snake for the flexible rider that likes to slide on their saddle and the Chameleon for those in the middle. Look for the Kurve in dealers this fall with a price tag of $270.00.
