When United Healthcare Pro Cycling won their 21st race of the season recently, they rolled across the line on Chris King R45 hubs. Those hubs are getting a ceramic bearing option, available August 15th. The hubs specs are already very impressive. 102 and 221 grams for the hubs, front and back respectively, the ceramic option puts these weights at 99 and 216 grams. Chris King uses their 45-tooth steel RingDrive engagement mechanism for the rear hub, a system that rewards your pedaling with instantaneous and direct forward movement. As always a huge array of colors are available; Black, Silver, Pewter, Red, Navy, Pink, Green, Mango, Gold and Brown. They are 9, 10 and 11 speed compatible with multiple drilling options. They are made in the USA and come with a five year warranty.
