The stereotype of the renegade on the fixed gear, blasting through traffic and exuding cool, does not apply to all New York City bike messengers. Cruise the streets of NYC on any given day and all manner of riders will be out there, working hard and hustling to keep the deliveries moving. And just as the messengers may fall anywhere along the spectrum of cool, their bikes also range from the hottest fixies to the clunkiest of mountain bikes. Either way, they're workin' it.
