The 2012 Road World Championships kicked off in Limburg, Netherlands with the all-important races against the clock. This year marked the return of the team time trial for both men and women. Tony Martin led his Omega Pharma-Quick Step team to the first of his two gold medals against the clock, while the women of Specialized-Lululemon blazed to their first team title. Americans Evie Stevens and Taylor Phinney both rode incredible time trials but came up just shy of individual gold. Next up: the road races.
