Seven-time Tour de France points classification winner Peter Sagan will be wearing limited edition 100% sunglasses at this year’s edition of the Tour de France which departs from Nice on Saturday, August 29.
The special Peter Sagan Limited Edition “White/Gold” Collection marks the fifth time Sagan has teamed up with 100% to release limited edition shades for the Tour de France. True to its name, this colorway is gold on one side and white on the other, and features a gold mirror lens which is tuned for sunny days—perfect for riding along the French Riviera.
The colorway will be available in three styles: the Speedcraft, S3 and S2. Sagan will be opting for the S3 during the Tour because of its excellent peripheral field of view. “These sunglasses are a reflection of my personality and the way I race,” he said in a press release. All three pairs will retail for $220 and also include a clear lens.
The San Diego-based eyewear brand also announced an even more exclusive pair of eyewear: the Peter Sagan Limited Edition 24-karat gold Speedtrap. Featuring a real 24-karat-gold-coated lens, only 50 units will be made. Proceeds will benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
