Dec. 16, 2014 — Welcome to Day 3 of our 12 Days of Dig. These three gift ideas come from our Italian issue, typically our most popular issue of the year. We cover the gamut from stocking stuffer to family heirloom with some classic Italian flavor in between. Enjoy Day 3!
U-Boat Classico AS Watch
Ilvo Fontana was commissioned by the Italian Navy to design new watches for its pilots in 1942, but the watches were never produced. In 2000, his grandson, Italo Fontana, came across his grandfather’s designs and created U-Boat watches. All watches are made by craftsmen in Italy and the Calssico AS is our favorite.
In case you are running short of Calabrian licorice in your household, we found these for you. Small, rounded morsels of pure flavor in a great reusable tin — get a least three for stocking stuffing and late-night cravings.
Lavazzo Espresso Super Crema
At the end of the day Lavazzo Espresso Super Crema beans are a sure bet to stock in your kitchen. With a cacophony of bean purveyors popping up on every corner, and if you are feeling overwhelmed, you can always stick with pure Italia for your morning elixir. The magic blue Lavazzo bag is so bright it almost wakes you up just looking at it.
