Ilvo Fontana was commissioned by the Italian Navy to design new watches for its pilots in 1942, but the watches were never produced. In 2000, his grandson, Italo Fontana, came across his grandfather’s designs and created U-Boat watches. All watches are made by craftsmen in Italy and the Calssico AS is our favorite.
