Fundamentally, there’s nothing all that different about training indoors from outdoors. But the one factor that almost invariably plagues most of our pain caves is heat (we can’t all have those cavernous training spaces shown in trainer ads). That’s why ASSOS cooked up the Equipe RSR Superléger S9, the brand’s lightest, most breathable bibs ever. ASSOS isn’t completely reinventing the wheel here. The Swiss brand sticks with the proven construction and design features of the RS bibs, including the A-Lock Engineering framework, rollBar straps, modified ergoBox and one-piece Butterfly panel. The big change among several other subtle tweaks is to the fabric. Called Breezer Tex, it’s an ultralight woven fabric with a mesh-like structure, making it highly breathable and soft. These bibs are not made exclusively for indoor training—just for when conditions get hot or muggy, indoors or out.
