Top pros know exactly what they want from their equipment. To get exactly the shoe he needed—one that is light, breathable and supremely comfortable—sprinter Elia Viviani helped develop the KR1 with DMT. To gain all these properties, they turned to the benefits of a 3D knit upper. This technique allows for variable thickness and different knit patterns throughout the shoe, so each part of the shoe fits exactly as it should. A knit construction also leaves plenty of perforations, making the KR1 ultra-breathable. Complementing the upper is a supportive anatomic carbon outsole, which can deliver the power transfer of a world-class sprinter like Viviani. A single IP1 Boa dial wraps everything together. And, impressively, this shoe tips the scales at just 240 grams for a size 42. $440; 240g (size 42); dmtcycling.com
