The big news with Goods from the Peloton Service Course this week is the launch of our latest limited edition kit, this one inspired by La Vuelta. But that’s not all we have. We take a look at a ‘cross bike packed with tech, but aimed at the youngest juniors, and a jersey that will become an indispensable part of any woman’s kit.

Spanish Fly: Limited Edition peloton x Alé Spanish kit

SpanishKit_PSC
In honor of La Vuelta a Espana we designed a kit based on a retro Spanish National Team apparel and the country’s flag. To have the kits made we turned to Alé and its incredible PRR line. This is the race-ready, Italian made kit the brand launched with and is largely responsible for its quick growth. The fit is typically Italian – slim – but thanks to very elastic fabrics and a sublime cut, it feels great on the bike with almost any body type. Super light fabrics, perforated lycra and carbon infusion add to the kit’s technical credentials. The PRR bibs offer light compression, have leg grippers that don’t create ‘sausage leg’ and a chamois designed for long rides by aggressive riders.

‘Cross for Kids: Islabikes Luath Pro Series
IslabikesLuathPro
Okay, so your kid probably doesn’t have a pro contract, and occasionally the ‘cross crowd can be less than ‘child-friendly’, but the Luath Pro by Islabikes was designed to give your kids a legit ‘cross rig that helps them race confidently and maximizes the fun. The geometry puts the weight right between the tires, a steep seat tube keeps the bars in reach, while a long wheel base and slack head tube angle help kids stay upright with confidence. An alloy frame and carbon fork keep it light for easy shouldering and narrow Q-Factor Islacranks finish off the bike’s kid credentials. They are available in three sizes – 8+ with 24” wheels, 9+ with 26” wheels, 11+ with 700c wheels.

The Little Black Dress of Jerseys: Castelli Ispirata Jersey FZ

Castelli-Ispirata
This will be that go-to jersey that just feels right for almost every ride. The fit is perfection, never flapping in the wind, but not wrapping you like saran wrap. The micro-pique fabric is beautifully soft against the skin, wicks moisture quickly to the surface to keep you comfortable and is very light weight. The full zipper is hidden behind a flap for clean lines and sits in a zipper-garage (our favorite term in all of apparel) so it’s comfortable under your chin. Three big pockets and simple, timeless styling ensure it won’t go out of style next season, which is good since it will last a very long time thanks to Castelli craftsmanship. It’s the kind of jersey you’ll need more than one of, so grab some different colors. Ispirata means ‘inspired’ and you will be – to ride your bike.
