On any given race day, you’re more likely than not to see the INEOS Grenadiers reaching for the Kask Protone—and there’s good reason for that. This helmet balances safety, aerodynamics and cooling better than anything else in the Kask range, making it a go-to for all but the hottest road stages. Like any aero helmet worth its mettle, the Protone has put in hours in the wind tunnel, but it’s designed to not skimp on cooling power to save watts—just look at those vents and exhaust port in the rear. Plus, it includes Coolmax padding, which enhances the effectiveness of your body’s natural cooling mechanism: sweat. At the same time, it’s also focused on safety, using in-molding to join the outer polycarbonate layer to the inner polystyrene layer. Plus, an inner frame keeps the helmet intact through accidents, letting it better absorb impacts.
