When it comes to big wheels in the dirt, Niner understands them as well as anybody; that’s all it does.

The RLT 9 may not be a mountain bike, but its steel frame is meant for adventure, on or off road.

Reynolds 853 tubing meets long stable geometry for long days in the saddle packing gear, but the through axles, tapered head tube and Niner carbon fork are up to the task if you want to bang elbows between the tape.

Available as a frame only for $1,500, the Niner 2-Star build kits the RTL 9 out with Shimano 105, Niner alloy wheels, Schwalbe G-One tires and Niner alloy cockpit.

$2,500; ninerbikes.com
