Dec 1, 2015 – The recent SILCA company reboot has taught us that fresh thinking and a lot of creative energy can instill even the must mundane of products with a sense of drama, emotion and added functionality.
Its latest offering, a 19-piece tool kit—eight hex keys, ¼-inch socket driver, six Torx heads, two Phillips heads and two f latheads—comes in a beautiful beechwood box with a stainless steel SILCA shield on top.
The tools are made of S-2 tool steel with a super thin and dense hard-chrome coat. The result is a tool 16-percent harder and more precise than traditional tools that will wear less and do less damage to soft bolt heads after years of use. Of course, they look like a work of art too.
