June 16, 2015 – The Tight Tolerances in Mixed Terrain
Speedplay Zero pedals do many things other road pedals can only dream of —double-sided entry, micro-adjustable, superlight, aerodynamic—and all with an incredibly stable and secure power platform. For the first time we can now add to that list bad-weather and dirty-condition capability for the first time thanks to the Zero Pavé. Initially designed as a pro-only pedal, the Pavé has an iron-cross shape designed to evacuate mud and debris from the critical contact surfaces. It features ceramic contacts that are immune to cold welding, the bane of tight, metal-on-metal tolerances in pedal design.
