PACTIMO KEYSTONE VEST

Spring is upon us, which means colorful scenery and fluctuating temperatures—and figuring out what to wear on a ride is more difficult than ever. Luckily, Pactimo’s Keystone vest takes away a little bit of the guesswork. Designed for the Colorado shoulder season—when rides may start at near-freezing temperatures and hit the 70-degree Fahrenheit mark by the end, with plenty of fluctuation and possibly rain in between—this vest regulates temperatures well enough to stay on throughout most springtime rides. If things do warm up more than expected, don’t sweat it; the Keystone vest features a two-way zipper to help vent excess heat and is compact enough to fit into a jersey pocket. But Pactimo thinks you’ll be keeping this windproof and water-resistant vest on most of the time, so there are three back pockets. $175; 3 colors; pactimo.com

PEARL IZUMI PRO BIB SHORTS

pearl izumi pro bib shorts

Bib shorts don’t always have to be boring versions of the same black. But on the flip side, they also needn’t be outlandishly colored to inject a little bit of personality into your ride. Available in navy and black, and in three additional subtle patterns, the Pearl Izumi Pro Bib Shorts features the brand’s exclusive PRO Escape 1:1 Chamois, its most supportive and breathable, and Italian PRO Transfer fabric for all-day comfort. Just seven carefully cut panels are designed to contour to your body and keep seams to a minimum, while wide, laser-cut bib straps make for a supportive fit. Take a look at the Cosmic colorway, which imitates the night sky, but reads as a black bib when paired with a solid colored jersey. Plus, it incorporates BioViz reflectivity for low-light safety. $210; 5 colors/patterns; pearlizumi.com
