Mar 18, 2016 – Cipollini, the man and the bike, have always been upfront about their intentions—go very fast! So how would Cipollini build a bike for those of us that aren’t racing for finish lines anymore?

It’s called the NK1K and like other Cipollini bikes, it’s made from start to finish in Italy. Instead of a single mold like the RB1K, the NK1K bonds the stays to the bike using the patented Atom Link system and instead of the ultra-aggressive, ultra-low head tube, the NK1K is 2cm taller across most sizes than the RB1K.
The result is a bike still lower and racier than any traditional “endurance” bike and thanks to the super-stiff power platform, creates a bike more about high- performance endurance than relaxation.
If you do want to go taller with the bars, a custom headset cover does it without spoiling the lines of the bike.
With direct-mount rim or disc-brake options, we’d call the NK1K the sexiest Cipollini we’ve ever seen—other than Mario himself, of course!
