Feb. 20, 2015 — Kåre Dehlie Thorstad captured the beautiful climb of the Tour of Oman’s Green Mountain, where Lampre-Merida’s Rafael Valls was able to edge BMC’s Tejay van Garderen in an extra acceleration to win the stage. Valls now sits in the race lead after Fabian Cancellara switched roles to ride for teammate Julian Arredondo up the climb.
